External works completed in
Little Hallingbury
The Churchwardens and PCC of St Mary's Church gratefully acknowledge recent assistance and support provided by the National Churches Trust.
The Trust's grant of £5,000 has enabled much needed exterior repair and maintenance work to be completed, as directed by our Architect in his 5-yearly report on the building structure. Repairs carried out, by specialist contractors Lodge & Sons, the stonework of the windows and to the tiled roof, re-pointing was undertaken, and a redundant brick chimney was removed with the flint wall restored. The gate between the village car park and the Charterhouse Burial Ground was removed, renovated and replaced. A selection of photographs showing some of the work undertaken can be seen below. |
