What is the United Benefice of the Six Villages?
We are a group of six Anglican churches in rural villages on the Herts/Essex borders, just south of the market town of Bishop's Stortford.
We are part of the Deanery of Harlow, and the Church of England Diocese of Chelmsford.
We are very proud of our six beautiful and historic church buildings, and we look forward to welcoming you to share in one of our regular services or social events.
Formed in 2022, our united benefice brings the six parishes into a single ministry group. Our clergy and lay ministers are licenced to serve in each of the six parishes, and a joint church council has been formed to oversee our development as a group of six.
Together we are stronger and better able to serve the needs of the lovely local communities in the villages.
